Element - Jo C, Press Release Official

Jo C brings us her brand new single, Element - showing off her repertoire of skills and talents within electronic music. Element is an experimental, dark track, with a heavy bassline, surrounded by an overarching Lo-Fi theme. To further accentuate the subject of darkness and seclusion, Jo C incorporated a variety of bass lines and added in a glitchy high pitched note.

A large part of Element’s singularity is the inspiration behind it. While making Element, Jo C was heavily influenced by the genres of trip-hop, electronica, drum and bass, and IDM. Jo C, herself, was especially pleased with her ability to mix the track from her own bedroom studio.

Element was produced, mixed and mastered entirely by Jo C herself - highlighting her musical flair and capability. To add her own personal twist, Jo C recorded her natural surroundings to fill the organic split between the drum and bass focus, including her own breathing and her friend speaking french, to create a lyrical loop. Overall, Element shows just how gifted Jo C truly is. I have no doubt she will have her time in the spotlight, considered by many as an expert in her field.
